
Kigali Independent University ULK celebrates its 12th Graduation with more than 2100 graduates.
Today, December 11, 2015 Kigali Independent University ULK marks its 12th graduation ceremony whereby it issued 1788 degrees undergraduate students and 336 master’s students who graduated in various programmes.

In his speech, Chancellor of ULK Prof. Dr. Kalisa Mbanda who officially opened the graduation ceremony, said that this graduation ceremony is a result of mutual efforts made by both students and the university throughout a long journey.
He added that the fact that ULK opened 8 master’s programmes has come in handy to help in terms of cost effectiveness and quality education both individuals who pursue their studies abroad and institutions who sent their staff as well. He added
He requested graduates to be good ambassadors wherever they will be and not to forget the meaning of the degrees they were given by ULK.

Dr. Ezechiel Sekibibi, Vice Chancellor of ULK congratulated both undergraduate and master’s graduates on their achievement. He expressed his vote of thanks to all people present and God Almighty who made all things possible. He reminded graduates that studying at ULK is to make the right choice. “According to a survey conducted, ULK graduates hold decision making positions and many others started their own businesses.” He added

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Rwigamba Balinda, Founder and President of Kigali Independent University ULK addressed graduates at both levels. Firstly, he thanked God, the Top Manager of the Institution, for His guidance and strength.
He also expressed his vote of thanks to the President of the Republic of Rwanda for his good governance. He thanked graduates and laureates for their efforts that enabled them to complete their studies successfully. He gave them two pieces of advice.
The first one is to abide by ethical values and to be job creators. Those ethical values include having faith in God, knowing one’s mission on earth, living ethical values and having positive thoughts.
Graduates and laureates were very excited and said that skills and values they learnt at ULK will help them the rest of their life.
