ULK PRESIDENT LAUNCHES HIS CHRISTIAN BOOK
On Wednesday 14th December 2016, ULK President and Founder, Prof. Dr. Rwigamba Balinda launched his Christian book entitled “A True Christian” which is a trilingual book. It is written in English, French and Kinyarwanda. The launching took place at ULK Kigali Campus and many people including ULK staff and students, media practitioners and many others had come to grace the event.
As he disclosed, the author of “A TRUE CHRISTIAN”, stated that serving the Lord is something that will occupy most of his time in the days ahead. To this he urged those who had come to witness the book launch exercise to uphold the values of a true Christian who serves God wholeheartedly.
The book tackles among other elements, having faith in one true God, being baptized in a true baptism, believing that Jesus is the King of the Sabbath, believing in what the Word of God says about Mary, the mother of Jesus, to mention but a few.
Talking about people who pretend to be filled with the Holy Spirit by speaking unusual languages, Prof. Dr. RWIGAMBA BALINDA, said that some people may do it under the driving force of the devils not the Holy Spirit. However he underscored that there are some people who can be driven by the true Holy Spirit to speak them.
Since it cannot be a walk in the park to distinguish those driven by devils from those driven by the Spirit of God, Prof. Dr. Rwigamba quoted Mathew 7:20 to provide the audience with a clear answer. “So then, by their fruit you will recognize them”.
Clive Staples Lewis, a Christian apologist and novelist from North Ireland, was right when he said, “We read to know we are not alone”. This is true because when you read, “A TRUE CHRISTIAN” you automatically realize that you are with Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. You do not have to be worried about what awaits you tomorrow or what your future will be like.
Aware of this, Prof. Dr. Rwigamba Balinda, the author of the book, made it possible for the book to be found in many bookshops like Ikirezi bookshop, Caritas Bookshop, Kigali Heights Bookshop, etc. It may also be found at both ULK Campuses and somewhere else at only 2000 frw (two thousand Rwandan Francs).
The launch climaxed in numerous questions asked by the audience to better understand what Christianity is all about. All the questions were answered by the author to the audience’s satisfaction.
